(“Seller”).
These Terms govern purchases of digital content, in particular PDF e-books, and bookings of workshops, mentoring, coaching and other services offered at www.mentevent.sk (“Products”). A Buyer is a consumer or business submitting an order through the online store.
Product information
The description, price, language version, scope, date and other details shown with a Product when the order is submitted are binding.
An e-book is digital content supplied as a PDF and requires a device and ordinary PDF reader. Where several languages are available, the Buyer chooses the e-book language before adding it to the cart. Changing the website language does not automatically change the file being purchased.
Unless the Product page states otherwise, downloadable Products have no configured download-count limit or link expiry. The Buyer should download and back up the file. A lost functional link can be restored after the order is verified through info@mentevent.sk.
3. Orders and contract formation
The Buyer chooses the Product and variant, reviews the cart, supplies the required information, chooses payment and submits the order using a button that clearly indicates an obligation to pay. The details can be corrected before submission.
By submitting an order, the Buyer confirms having read these Terms and the Privacy Notice. An automated email confirms receipt. The contract is concluded when the Seller confirms the order; for an automatically processed order, the relevant WooCommerce order-received or order-processing email constitutes confirmation.
The contract is concluded in the checkout language used by the Buyer. The Seller keeps the electronic order record and does not make it publicly accessible.
4. Price, VAT and payment
Consumer prices are in euros and include VAT unless explicitly stated otherwise. The total price and any additional charges appear before submission. No delivery charge applies to a digital Product.
Available payment methods appear at checkout. Card and supported electronic payments are processed by Stripe Payments Europe, Limited. The Seller does not receive the full card number or CVV. If bank transfer is offered, payment is received when credited to the Seller’s account.
For an obvious technical pricing error, the Seller will contact the Buyer without undue delay and propose correction or cancellation with a refund.
5. Supply of digital content
An e-book is supplied electronically by making a download link available on the order page, in the customer account where used, or in an email sent after payment is confirmed. For bank transfer, supply starts after the payment is received and matched.
The Buyer is responsible for a correct email address. If the email does not arrive, the Buyer should check spam and contact info@mentevent.sk with the order number. Access will be restored after verification.
The Buyer receives a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence for personal or internal professional use. Without written permission, the Buyer may not publish, resell, distribute to third parties, reproduce in bulk or remove author attribution. Statutory quotation and other lawful uses remain unaffected.
6. Services
A workshop, mentoring, coaching or other service is provided to the scope, time, place or platform stated with the Product and in the order confirmation. The Buyer must provide correct contact details, attend on time and follow reasonable organisational instructions.
If the Seller must change or cancel a service for a serious reason, the Seller will offer a replacement date, suitable alternative or refund. Individual cancellation terms shown for a service apply insofar as they do not restrict mandatory consumer rights.
A free introductory consultation provides an initial assessment and does not replace a paid service. One person may normally use it once.
7. Consumer withdrawal
For a distance contract, a consumer generally has 14 days from conclusion to withdraw without giving a reason unless a statutory exception applies.
For paid digital content not supplied on a tangible medium, the consumer loses this right only once supply begins, provided the consumer first expressly consented to supply before the 14-day period ended, acknowledged being informed of the loss of the right, and received confirmation from the Seller. The checkout requires this consent and the email confirms it. If these requirements were not met, the consumer’s statutory right remains unaffected.
Where the consumer requests a service to start during the withdrawal period and later validly withdraws, the consumer pays the proportionate amount already supplied where required by law. The withdrawal right does not apply, to the extent of the statutory exception, to leisure services to be supplied on a specific date or within a specific period.
Withdrawal may be notified by an unequivocal statement to info@mentevent.sk or through www.mentevent.sk/odstupenie-od-zmluvy/. It is sufficient to submit the notice before the applicable deadline. The Seller will promptly acknowledge an electronic submission.
8. Defects and complaints
The Seller is responsible for conformity with the contract and mandatory legal requirements. For digital content supplied once, the Seller is responsible for a defect existing at supply and becoming apparent within two years.
A complaint may be sent to info@mentevent.sk or the registered office and should identify the Buyer, order, defect and requested remedy. The Seller will promptly provide written acknowledgement and state a correction period, normally no longer than 30 days unless an objective circumstance outside the Seller’s control justifies more time.
For an incorrect or non-functional PDF, the Seller will, as appropriate, restore the link, provide the correct file, correct the defect, grant a proportionate reduction or refund where required by law. If the language differs from the ordered variant, the correct version will be supplied free of charge.
For a service, remedies may include correction, a replacement date, reduction or refund according to the defect and applicable law.
9. Alternative dispute resolution
A consumer may request redress at info@mentevent.sk. If the Seller rejects the request or does not respond within 30 days, the consumer may apply to a competent Slovak alternative dispute resolution entity, in particular the Slovak Trade Inspection at www.soi.sk. Court proceedings remain available.
The former EU ODR platform closed on 20 July 2025.
10. Privacy
Personal-data processing is described at www.mentevent.sk/ochrana-sukromia/. Complianz manages cookie choices and the separate cookie notice.
11. Final provisions
Slovak law applies. A consumer retains mandatory protection under the law of their country of habitual residence.
The version effective when an order is submitted governs that order. If one provision is invalid or unenforceable, the remainder continues to apply.
